Description
another ancient pot I dug up in my back yard- I live on such a rich archeological site
an addition to my tribal roots series (see [link] ). The rim was taken out during bisque firing when someone's project exploded! I decided to go ahead and glaze it anyhow (waste not, want not ) and am satisfied with how it came out despite the damage (ooooo.... it looks old ) It also fits in my envelopment series. Googled "mammoth" for images of said beasts (they do exist as cave drawings in France at least).
tech talk: wheel thrown B-mix, carved, modified? (although not by choice ), ^6 electric/oxidation

when I saw that I thought the rim was done intentionally. Great save! Had a pot go wrong on me recently while I was working on it and had to loose the entire top half
